How Does it Work

First a digital impression is taken before the tooth is prepared for a crown, veneer, or bridge. This way the program can copy the exact shape of your tooth if you would like to keep the same shape. After the tooth is prepared a digital impression is again taken to capture what the internal surface of the crown will need to match.

Next the digital impression is used to design a crown with the perfect thickness, shape, and bite.The design process is done in the room right in front of you, if you would like to give your preference on the shaping we are happy to accommodate you.

A selection is made that allows for a variable shade giving a higher level of matching nearby teeth. This digital crown is then sent to an onsite CNC machine that makes the crown out of the material that is best suited to the given situation. For the front teeth a material with higher esthetic values are typically selected. While for the back teeth a material with higher strength is often used.

Once the crown has been made it is tried in to ensure a proper fit and then a glaze is applied and placed into a vacuum furnace for an absolutely smooth high shine finish. Custom characterization at this point is also possible
